How y'all doing?

I know, I know, this journal entry is late, given the earlier one.

Anyway, my family and I have moved to a new state, we live in a triplex, and my family goes to the beach all the time.

Me? I prefer to stay at home and work on my storyworks and surf the net on my laptop. I'm currently working on a novel I hope to turn into a series, and it's not gonna be easy because, like JK Rowling's harry Potter, it takes place in a magic school. BUT! I am trying my best to make it as different as possible.

I can't give away too much for risk of someone might steal my ideas, but i can say the following:

-It takes place in a different world, not Earth

-The main villain is a woman

-The school was founded by five witches and wiccans, not four (I use the term wiccan for male mages instead of wizards)

-There are five dorms each named after the five founders

-First Year Students take part in a magickal celebration to be bonded to a magickal animal companion which will serve as a Familiar

-Witches and Wiccans do not use broomsticks to fly, they use something else

-Unlike Harry Potter, where practically every character is a human, there are Elves, Dragons, Dwarves, Merfolk, Dryads, Centaurs, Faeries, and many more that can also be Witches and Wiccans

-There is an ancient secret society of students in the school which has existed since the school was founded 1500 years ago

-Unlike Harry Potter, where the wand chooses its master, new students make designs for their wands, and wandmakers do the rest and present them with the wand the student designed. Like, what wood do they use, what sort of gems, how long it is, what markings or carvings, and what special charm to add to it

-There are fifteen subjects taght in the magic school

-Not all the teachers are human: There's a Half-Orc, an Elf, a Goblin, a Dwarf, a Dragon, a Dryad, a Half-Faerie, a Naga, a Werebear, but the rest of the teachers are humans. The Headmistress of the school is an Elf and has been since the passing of the five founders



Anyway, I'm working my butt off on this story, doing research, going over various languages, researching mythical creatures, designing characters and magckal stuff, it's mind-grueling.

But I am determined to see this story through!!!

I don't start college until the Spring semester, and when I get in, I'm gonna work for a Bachelor's Degree in Literature

If anyone will gve my suggestions and/or ideas for this story, I would be happy to hear them.
